She/Her

Toyae Liverpool, LCSW, MHRM, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Psychotherapist with over 25 years of experience helping individuals navigate life's emotional challenges with compassion, insight, and practical support. She works with clients facing depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, and life transitions, and has particular expertise in mood and personality disorders, PTSD, and the unique challenges of aging.

A graduate of New York University with advanced psychoanalytic and mindfulness training, Toyae integrates evidence-based and holistic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and ancestral healing techniques. She also specializes in geriatric care and concierge therapy, offering personalized support for seniors navigating the challenges of aging.

Toyae believes therapy is a collaborative process—one rooted in trust, authenticity, and creating a space where clients feel safe to explore their experiences without judgment. As your therapist, she will help you identify your triggers, explore painful experiences, and develop lasting coping skills. Her goal is to remove barriers to care, which is why she offers flexible options: teletherapy, in-home sessions, and in-office counseling.

Being Health Questions

New clients should know that I strive to create a therapeutic space that feels safe, supportive, and free of judgment. I view therapy as a collaborative process where we work together to better understand challenges, identify patterns, and build meaningful tools for change. My style is warm, compassionate, and direct when helpful, and I believe in meeting clients where they are while helping them move toward greater emotional wellness and self-understanding.

I have over 25 years of experience working with diverse populations across a variety of clinical settings. I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, stress, self-esteem concerns, and emotional overwhelm. I also have experience supporting individuals coping with caregiver stress, family conflict, medical-related emotional challenges, and adjustment to major life changes. My work has included supporting clients from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Beginning therapy can feel vulnerable, and it’s important to find a therapist who feels like a good fit. My goal is to create a space where clients feel genuinely heard, respected, and supported. I tailor treatment to each individual rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. Whether someone is seeking support during a difficult time or wanting deeper personal growth, I work collaboratively to help clients develop insight, strengthen coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change.

What I find most meaningful about Being Health’s integrated care model is the opportunity to care for the whole person. Mental health is deeply connected to physical wellbeing, relationships, lifestyle, and overall functioning. An integrated model allows for more collaborative, comprehensive care and creates opportunities for clients to feel supported in multiple aspects of their health journey. I value an approach that recognizes healing is multifaceted and individualized.

For self care, I value activities that help me feel grounded and recharged. I enjoy spending quality time with loved ones, practicing mindfulness, exercising, and taking moments to slow down and reflect. I also value creating balance between work and personal life, as I believe caring for ourselves helps us better show up for others.
