Being Health Questions
What should a new client know about working with you?
As a nutritionist, my intention is to improve your self-efficacy in nourishing your body by empowering you with tools, knowledge, resources and necessary skills. No cookie-cutter meal plans, restrictive diets, or one-size-fits-all approaches here. Each client is tended to as an individual to ensure sustainability, feasibility, and longevity in our collaborative plan. In addition to recipe booklets, targeted supplements, guidance on foods to integrate into your day and self-care practices related to sleep and movement, you will receive wisdom with specific “why’s” to provide you a deeper understanding of what your body needs and how your actions are directly benefiting your mental and physical wellbeing.
Do you have experience working with any specific types of patients?
Throughout the years, I’ve had the honor of working with a wide variety of individuals suffering from a multitude of both mental and physical health conditions. Most of my clients struggle with their relationship with food and/or their body thus the heart of my work is centralized in supporting this as a foundation to overall health and wellness.
What do you find most interesting about Being Health's integrated care model?
The integration between physical and mental healthcare is the most interesting and special part of Being Health. Health care with the absence of mental health care, and visa versa, is not as effective as when both are paired strategically and intentionally together. Layering in therapies like psychedelics, nutrition and acupuncture provides patients a revolutionary and cutting edge approach, one that I believe and hope, will modernize mental and physical healthcare as a whole for the better.
What’s your favorite thing to do for self care?
My favorite self-care activity is spending time in nature. Living in Lake Tahoe, nature and beauty are at my fingertips thus I leverage every opportunity I can to submerge myself into our natural world and learn from its wisdom.
