Being Health Questions

I strongly believe that treatment is a collaborative and transparent process where we decide together what our goals of working together are . My initial goal is for us both to explore and understand what brings you to treatment and what factors contribute to what you are experiencing now so that we can best understand what changes or interventions may be the most helpful. These might include different forms of psychotherapy, medication management, nutritional interventions or changes, somatic therapies, novel treatments such as ketamine therapy, or some combination of the above.

I have experience working with LGBTQI individuals, individuals with a history of traumatic experiences, as well as individuals with diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds, including individuals seeking asylum in the United States and individuals who are unhoused or unstably housed. In addition, I have experience working with individuals seeking consultation for ketamine treatments for relief from depressive symptoms that haven’t responded to other forms of treatment.

I believe that the path toward mental and emotional wellbeing is a path toward wholeness and a path of finding connection between mind, body, spirit and community. So often, though, mental health treatment is siloed with different providers for a given individual rarely having the opportunity to communicate or collaborate. What sets Being Health apart is its integrated approach to mental health treatment where someone can trust that their whole being will be cared for and where each clinician, no matter the discipline, honors the interconnectivity of mind and body.

My most memorable trip was to Cape Town, South Africa where I got to visit Boulders Beach, one of the only places in the world where one can get up close to African penguins.
