Meet Dr. Allie Sharma
Being Health was co-founded in 2023 by Dr. Allie Sharma, a Cornell-trained board-certified Adult Psychiatrist, behavioral health strategist and mental health innovator. Together with the Being Health team, Dr. Sharma has created a modern mental health practice that combines the best of psychiatry with what is new and novel in mental health care to help patients truly feel better, with all services offered in an environment primed for healing.

Dr. Herbert Pardes
Dr. Herbert Pardes is the former President and CEO of NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and has held key roles in healthcare, including President of the American Psychiatric Association (APA), Vice President for Health Sciences at Columbia University and Director of the National Institute of Mental Health. Dr. Pardes has served on health policy commissions under Presidents Bush and Clinton and led various medical and healthcare organizations.
Dr. Ellen Stevenson
Dr. Ellen Stevenson has over 20 years experience at Columbia University Medical Center (CUMC) and oversees Psychiatry at NewYork-Presbyterian / Columbia University Medical Center. She developed a unique mental health system for the NYPD and FBI post-9/11. Dr. Stevenson serves on Columbia Medical School's Admissions Committee and practices psychotherapy and psychopharmacology, specializing in affective and anxiety disorders. She's an Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Clinical Director of Psychiatry at CUMC.
Dr. Steven Sharfstein
Dr. Steven Sharfstein is the former President and CEO of Sheppard Pratt Health System and has been a key figure at the American Psychiatric Association, serving as Secretary, Vice President, and President. He has lectured at Johns Hopkins, been a clinical professor at the University of Maryland, and led mental health programs at the National Institute of Mental Health. Dr. Sharfstein received the APA's Human Rights Award in 2007 for his contributions to psychiatry.
Dr. Anna Yusim
Dr. Anna Yusim is an internationally-recognized, award-winning, Board-Certified, Stanford and Yale-educated Concierge Psychiatrist & Executive Coach with a Private Practice in New York, California, Connecticut and Florida. As a Clinical Assistant Professor at Yale Medical School, Dr. Yusim is presently creating a Mental Health & Spirituality Center at Yale. She is also a Distinguished Fellow by the American Psychiatric Association. Dr. Yusim is the best-selling author of Fulfilled: How the Science of Spirituality Can Help You Live a Happier, More Meaningful Life, and has published over 220 academic articles, book chapters, scientific abstracts, book reviews, and articles on various topics in psychiatry.
Dr. John Krystal
Dr. John Krystal is a renowned psychiatrist and researcher with expertise in the areas of alcoholism, PTSD, schizophrenia, and depression, and is best known for leading the discovery of the rapid antidepressant effects of ketamine in depressed patients. His work links psychopharmacology, neuroimaging, molecular genetics, and computational neuroscience to study the neurobiology and treatment of these disorders. He is currently Chair of the Department of Psychiatry at the Yale School of Medicine and Chief of Psychiatry at Yale New Haven Hospital, Robert L. McNeil, Jr. Professor of Translational Research and Professor of Psychiatry, of Neuroscience, and of Psychology, Director of the Clinical Neuroscience Division at the VA National Center for PTSD, Co-Director of the Yale Center for Clinical Investigation, and Director of the NIAAA Center for the Translational Neuroscience of Alcoholism. Dr. Krystal is a graduate of the University of Chicago, Yale School of Medicine, and Yale Psychiatry Residency Training Program.
Dr. Bojana Jankovic Weatherly
Dr. Bojana Jankovic Weatherly is an award-winning physician, a fellow of the American College of Physicians and double board-certified in internal and integrative medicine. She is certified in functional medicine and trained in mindfulness and mind body medicine. Her approach is rooted in evidence-based medicine that is personalized to each individual she works with. She is a recipient of the Top Doctor and Super Doctors awards in New York between 2018 and 2024, was recognized as the Southern California Superdoctors Rising Star in 2016 and 2017, and is the recipient of several patient satisfaction awards at Cedars-Sinai. She is the founder and CEO of her medical practice BOJANA MD and is a Forbes Health Advisory Board Member. Her medical expertise has been featured on reputable platforms such as MSNBC, Today Show, and Rachael Ray. Dr. Weatherly is a graduate of the University of British Columbia, where she obtained her undergraduate, Masters and Medical degrees. She completed Internal Medicine residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center/West LA Veterans Affairs. She completed her fellowship in Integrative Medicine at the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona, and functional medicine at the Institute of Functional Medicine.
Dr. Gregory Fricchione
Dr. Gregory Fricchione has served as Associate Chief of Psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) since 2002 and Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School since 1993. Dr. Fricchione leads MGH's Division of Psychiatry and Medicine, its Psychosomatic Medicine Fellowship, and the Behavioral Mental Health Service at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital. He also directs the Benson-Henry Institute for Mind Body Medicine at MGH, focusing on stress and resilience research. A 1978 MD graduate from NYU, Dr. Fricchione is board-certified in psychiatry, psychosomatic medicine, and geriatric psychiatry, with academic roles at NYU, SUNY Stony Brook, Emory University, and the University of Auckland.
